Kylie Vry - Mississippi State
P, Des Moines, Iowa
Vry made her first collegiate start on Sunday against Stephen F. Austin and tossed a seven-inning no-hitter, strking out four and finishing two walks shy of a perfect game. It is the first no-hitter a Bulldog has thrown since 2006, but the first by a freshman since 2002. She made her first collegiate appearance in relief, throwing a perfect inning with two strikeouts in State’s first win over the Lady Jacks. Vry then responded with the no-hitter in her first start. Vry tossed eight innings, earning all-tournament honors after striking out six and walking two while not allowing a run or hit. Vry trained at Acceleration Iowa for several years before going to MSU. It is great to see her hard work pay off!
